Welcome to Anthropological Gardens.
Here you are going to find pictures and maybe a story or two to go with those pictures of people and places people go or had been, and things that are part of our social world.
A brief break down of why I named this blog what I did.
Anthropology: The study of humanity. The study of origins and social relationships of human beings. The scientific study of the origin and behavior, physical, social, and cultural development of humans.
Garden: A planned space, usually outdoors, set aside for the display, cultivation, and enjoyment of plants and other forms of nature.
This blog is my planned space to show the photos of people, our places, our things, our societies, our humanity. This is my attempt to take photos every day. To post at least every other day. To branch out from just taking pictures of my family and friends (though my son and daughters are camera hams). To do a study of people and our lives and our different cultures and of things that seem forgotten. And hey, if this blog catches on hopefully have guest photographers and writers (my fingers are crossed on that one!)
So welcome, web surfer. Welcome to the start of my journey. I hope you’ll return to see where the winding path will take me.
